SBIG Meeting - 9/11

At the Structual Biology Interest Group meeting last July, we decided to restructure things a bit. We are now meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 12 pm (still in Hand Lab 1135). Instead of doing two research talks, we will have one research talk (20-30 minutes) and one talk that focuses on a protocol or recent paper (15-20 minutes). As always, we invite anyone with an interest in structural biology and molecular biophysics, regardless of background.

Our next meeting will be next Wednesday, Sept 11 (12 pm in Hand 1135). To kick off the new semester, pizza and soda will be provided. Dr. Joe Emerson will be speaking on some of his research into metal binding proteins, and Whitnee Simmons will be presenting a brief discussion of protein purification strategies.

See you next week!
