Boot Camp Registration Now Closed

We've had an incredible turnout for Boot Camp this year, with over 60 students currently signed up. Because of COVID restrictions, we are reaching the capacity of our room and administrative load, and registration is now closed. All students who are registered should have received an email confirmation; if you believe you registered on time, please contact Nick Fitzkee.

If you were not able to get in this year, please check this site for video sessions, and please consider signing up next year!

Biochemistry Boot Camp Participants 2019

This year's Biochemistry Boot camp is scheduled for June 7-9. Registration is free and is now open! Off campus guests are welcome, and travel grants are available to support your visit to Starkville (see below).

Biochemistry Boot Camp is a three-day event targeted toward undergraduate and early graduate students doing research in biochemistry and biophysics. The sessions are designed to expose students to the computational tools and concepts used routinely in this type of research. The sessions target a broad range of experiences, introducing students to protein and nucleic acid structure and working up to molecular visualization and basic UNIX.

Boot Camp Cancelled

In the interest of keeping everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to cancel Biochemistry Boot Camp this year. Instead, we will focus our efforts on posting previous years' sessions online. That way, everyone can enjoy and benefit from the sessions without the risk of getting sick. You can check the progress at our Youtube Channel.

Thanks for your support during previous years, and stay healthy!
